BLACK, WHITE & A DASH OF BOHO

Saturday, October 1, 2016
 What I was wearing:
Dress: Triaraclothings | Sandals: Syrup Boho purse: Atmosphere

So I figured I should take a quick break from all the Europe posts and share to you an outfit I worn recently - by recent, I mean yesterday. lol I received a package from Triaraclothings a few days back and I just could not wait to show you the rompers they sent. I don't even have words to explain how happy I was with it! The fit? Perfect. The style? Great. AND it's boho, you all know how much of a fan I am with anything bohemian or gypsy.

Patrick's training was early in the morning so we had the whole Saturday to spend for ourselves. Since we got back from Germany, we haven't really had a brunch date yet. We normally have coffee & food outside, sit, make plans and not to mention, talk about the same things over and over again. When you're together with someone for years already, you surprisingly find yourselves having the same conversation from a day or two ago. haha
We're lucky to be living in an area where everything is walking distance and yesterdays's choice of venue was Wildflour. Enjoyed our dose of caffein and calories for an hour or so and spent the rest of the day walking around High Street. Nothing quite significant, but still something special especially when it's spent with someone dear to you. Cheeseballs! lol

Anyway, I won't go longer and eat much of your Sunday. I do hope though you are having a relaxing one. 'til then lovelies!

Cheys ♥

Denim Jacket, Bag & Shorts: G by GUESS
Shoes: Call It Spring
Necklace, Ring & Bangles: SM Accesories

So after my previous post which was different from my typical ensembles, I thought of going back to my usual and show you another of my laid-back outfits. I am a big sucker for denim paired with white lace and my heart just melted when I got my hands on the jacket and shorts. I opted for a look thats young and fresh. Something that reminds you of summer time in your teenage years.. D'you get the picture? So yeah,  I came up with this!
Perfect because have I mentioned? G actually is a brand of GUESS that caters more to the young and hip. In short, to people like me! haha
 Hope you like the look!

TRIBAL & DENIM

Denim Bustier: Romwe
Heels: Cheyser for So! Fab
Watch: XOXO Accessories
Bag: Parisian
Recessionista Finds:
Belt: Thrifted (100php=$2.4) | Maxi: Department Store (350 php=$8.5)

Climate in Manila has been undoubtedly bad! In the morning it shines, in the afternoon it pours. Vice versa sometimes. But most days, rain would just be endlessly showering thus making decent outfit shots (outdoor) seem rather impossible. So please bear with the low-quality indoor shots--which I am fond of the past posts by the way if you have observed--cause I was left with no choice but to resort to it. Sad.

Anyway, this was what I wore to the XOXO Accessories opening in ATC last Friday, same day when my shoes (one I designed for So! Fab) arrived at my doorstep. Excited and very much thrilled, I came up with a look inspired by the "boho-ness" of the heels. But I decided not to go predictably boho so I took some time-off from prints and wore something basic yet still has that I-dont-care vibe.
The denim bustier was perfect, I thought. It already was a statement itself and it needn't be embellished. The beige maxi on the other hand was too plain, I know, but with the silver belt it still seemed striking in a not-so-trying-hard kinda way, ya know? Basically the whole point of the outfit was to be eye-catching but in a not so obvious approach. Am i making any sense? haha
Sorry to be boggling your minds with these random thoughts. Nonetheless, I hope you like the whole ensemble as much as I do! :)

Knitted Top: SOUL
Skirt: Stash (sold out)
Shoes: Parisian
Necklace: SOUL
photos by Rap Meting

If there's one thing I never get tired of pairing with body con / tulip skirts, it would be knitted oversized tops.
It's low-maintenance, multi-purpose and basic yet still stylish.
Whenever I pay a visit to any of SOUL's shops, I never miss out on checking their slouchy knits. It's becoming some sort of their staple item that can always be found hanging on the racks whatever season it may be--winter, spring, summer or fall.
So when I had to wear this skirt from STASH's 2nd collection--which was  released a month ago so it only proves this is an overdue post hehe--I immediately thought of this cream off-the-shoulder distressed top to pair with it.
Perfect piece to complement the tribal print skirt, fringe necklace and boho bag! :)

First come first serve basis, as always! :)

DAVAO GIRL

Shorts: STASH (4th collection coming out tomorrow)
Top: Romwe
Sunnies: Romwe
Bag: Gift from Mimi
Necklace: Binky Doodles
[This is what I wore today. Thanks Farrah for sitting on the floor just to take these! haha]

It's no mystery how much of a boho-junkie I am. I go crazy over anything colorful, floral, aztec and beaded. Basically anything with resemblance to the beach, sun and indigenous people!
When I try to recall what started this obsession, the only thing that comes into my mind is Davao.
Yes my hometown. Why? Well there's the beach and then the over exposure to hand-made accessories which is abundant in the city.
From woods, stones to beads, even brass, silver to copper! Too many to mention, I could only imagine you guys drowning in them when you come here!

It's the third day of my Davao vacation. Staying here for a few weeks before school starts.
Why entitle the post such? Well first because I really am a Davao girl and second,  what I'm wearing shows how other girls most likely dress up here--chill but still posh. Okay maybe sometimes I go overboard than how they normally do. EXCESSorizing and wearing prints too much. Hehe!

This post is one of my favorites. The ensemble shows who I really am, fashion-wise.
Boho Chic. Forever Bohemian.
Davao Girl Reprezzzent! Sorry I just had to use the Zs. lol

By the way, I'm releasing the 3rd collection of STASH tomorrow!
The shorts is just one of them! See a photo of the rest HERE :)
Hope you like it!

SKELETONS IN THE BACKYARD

Monday, May 21, 2012

Aqua Bodice: Motel Rocks
Skirt: Forever21
Necklace: Bubbles
Shoes: Parisian

Some of you may already be familiar with the blog title. Perhaps you heard the song in some random station or website. Well actually Skeletons was the background music we used for Stash's video teaser. I named this look such--even if there isn't any sign of my clothing line--mainly because of the bodice w/back cut-outs that are identical to skeletons, in a good way that is
And backyard, well yeah, 'cause it was shot in the back of the house! Could it get more transparent than that? haha

I thought the neon aqua top complements the little bright details found in the aztec skirt. And I just went full-blast with the chunky necklace and bright yellow heels since the look was rather colorful and playful! :)

I hope you like it!
PS: I will never get tired of Aztec and native prints. Never.

STASH 3: PEEK

Sunday, May 20, 2012
I have already started working on Stash's 3rd collection and here's a peek of the fabrics I am using.
Expect the Stash signatures: 2 shorts, 1 skirt, 1 romper and the new addition to the --long skirts!
The 1st and 2nd collections were a success (everything was sold out!) and I have you all
to thank to :)

IN BLOOM

Wednesday, May 16, 2012

 Sequined shorts: ROMWE
Feather sheer top: Pickled & Peppered (if you like the top,
you can also contact SOUL. PP is the sister brand of SOUL)
Booties: Forever21
Photos by Rap Meting

I stared at the photos and asked myself, what would make a great title for this post?
I looked closer, examined every detail and it came to me.. I looked different, in a good-glowing kinda way.
If you noticed, I hardly smile in photographs. It's due to the fact that my circular face gets even rounder as I open my mouth and grin. Well that's what I think.  But when I saw the photos above, I thought my smile was different, but beautiful.
So with the observations gathered, I think naming this look "In Bloom" is perfect.
The afternoon sun hit my my colored hair just right, like how the sequined shorts glistnened
impeccably w/the salmon pink sheer top. Everything just fell in place. Perfectly. This is one of the
looks I will always adore!
I do hope you love it as much as I do! :)
