pants: Levi's

I have so much love for anything shiny and sparkly and I was lucky to score these metallic jeans from Levi's last week!

 I know most of you own a pair or two of flashy pants but don't know exactly how to wear it, so I am more than glad to 

share to you 3 different looks (will post 1 / day) that I have come up with.

 As seen in my previous post, I styled it in 3 ways with hopes of proving to you that pants like this actually can be worn in different ways! 

From a day in the office or school to the club with your girlfriends on a Friday night.

For the first post, I came up with a Smart Casual look. Perfect for those working women who stay in the office and even 

those who jump from one place to the other doing meetings here and client calls there. 

The pants itself is eye-catching so no need to go over the top by pairing it with loud colors and prints!

You wouldn't wanna be looking like Madonna, walking in the office at 9 in the morning, would you? lol

So stick to the basics,  just how I did in this ensemble--taupe sweater, white blazer, gold sandals and black bag. 

Like what I always say, neutrals never fail to town down anything flashy! :)

Let the time machine bring us back to the era when walking in 7-inch heel-less shoes is but a ridiculous idea.
Think about the 50's when Rock'n'Roll earned its name in the world. Or the 60's when various fashion traditions were broken--bikini trend, mini skirt mania and the oh so famous but odd go-go boots. Even the 70's when disco fad surfaced out of nowhere!
Indeed fashion is evolving. No doubt about that.

But at times, do you ever wish you could take a break from these ever changing trends and just be in something you feel most comfortable in? Perhaps an on-the-go outfit you never get tired of? Well above shows one look that's included in my go-to portfolio. Nothing more relaxed than an oversized tee, denim button down, jeggings and over-used combat boots. It's something anybody could be in, without having to worry about walking, running around or even sitting in wherever place may it be. In my case, it was on a bed of dead grass. 


This look shows another side of my style in which only a few of you may have noticed. That Rockstar-chic-goes-to-the-West part where I freely sport studs, boots, tees and denims. It's not something I am always seen in, but it definitely takes a chunk of my overall personal style.

Having a good pair of blue jeans is like owning an L.B.D. (Little Black Dress). Classic and timeless.

It can be fancied up for special occasions or dressed down for casual affairs. A fashion staple every girl must have!

Numerous brands have their signature "blue jeans" but amongst all, I think Levi's produced if not the best, one of the the best pair in history. The cut, texture, color and signature brown stitch contrasting with the blue cloth are only a few to mention why it has already earned its reputation in the denim industry. 

With my body type (small hips and slightly wide waist),  spotting the perfect pair of jeans is usually quite a task! Believe me, I've searched almost every store! And I was very  delighted when Levi's had pants made for body types like mine--slight curve to be specific. 

As you can see the fit is fantastic! Length is just enough to be folded at the bottom for a more laid-back look. 

And speaking of laid-back, I paired the pants with a plaid top and leather jacket to cap off the Western look. But instead of wearing boots (which I think is already too wild-wild-west haha), I went for a 5-inch leopard booties to add some "urban" vibe to the look! Something we could wear in the Philippines...on rainy days. haha!

When you hear the word denim, what goes into your mind? Vintage, grungy and blue are only a few to mention.

People have this common notion of denim to be just for daily casual affairs. Well I beg to differ. With the right choice of colors, textures and accessories, a typical rugged ensemble could be transformed into something in the middle of casual and dressy. 

Like this look for example. Rather than going for the classic blue jeans, I went for a salmon ankle skinny from Levi's summer collection. Soft and very feminine, especially with the yellow tank and blue platforms. Then I threw in a washed-out denim jacket to cap-off the whole in-the-middle-of-casual-and-dressy look!
