We all have those days when dressing up becomes a task rather than a thing we do for fun. 

Don't be ashamed. I too am guilty for always siding to casual and comfortable. In fact, I often go through mornings when I feel like just throwing on something I first lay eyes on in the closet, and last Thursday was nothing different. Went to school in a ponytail--which I only do on lazy days--and in my favorite go-to outfit: denim jacket, shorts/skirt and boots. 

You might be thinking now what on earth is special about this look, well that's the thing. It does not always have to be special. As long as it looks good and you feel comfortable in it, then I believe it's all good! Don't you agree? 

Well I hope you like the casual denim-on-denim ensemble! :)

As a preparation to summer, I am finally adding neon to my wardrobe. And though I'm only taking one baby step at a time, 

I can say I am making quite a progress already--having to start with accessories, to wallet and now down to shorts! haha

But despite my efforts of really going outside the box, the 'safe' side in me still comes out as seen evidently in this outfit.

I just thought pairing neutrals and soft tones with neon would lessen the "OH WOW" factor. I mean it's okay to be catching attention, but you wouldn't wanna be looking like a clown from some random circus walking in a costume that's color uncoordinated, would you? Know what I mean? haha 

So yeah, I came up with this--an ensemble I call...balanced. 

Something very soft yet cool in the eyes.

I was never really the type to choose ankle skinnies over a pair of denim shorts, but recently it has become my obsession. Too much exposure to Aimee Song's and Jennifer Grace's blogs is to blame. I swear those chicks can pull off any type of pants! If only I have their legs. *sighs*

Only a few weeks before summer and I've been seeing a lot of neon! I've to admit I find it quite hard to wear but I'm doing my best and starting slow with this electric pink wallet from Charles & Keith and bracelet from Forever21. 

Might have to do extra research on how to wear neons. Promise I'll do better next time. lol
