What's inside my 'late November' Romwe shopping cart :)
Which is your favorite? Mine's the studded leather shorts!

EARLY BIRDS

Tuesday, November 27, 2012
Top & Shoes: Romwe
Bag: Parfois
Sunnies: Ray-Ban
Bracelet: Anagon

Normally my Wednesday starts at 8:30 but today, it began 4 hours ago. With a lot of time to spare before class, I had coffee and did plates with Pam in Starbucks. It's one of those days when we have to draw twice the normal speed in order to catch up with the submission.
(Students, don't follow us okay. Procrastination was never good. Oh maybe at times it is. Lol)

Anyway, were sitting in class now. Coffee didn't really work cause I still feel drowsy. Just can't wait for 12 to come so I can finally head to Greenbelt and get my hands on the Charles & Keith's F/W collection! Will update you on instagram!

I hope everyone's having a great day! :)
Oh and about my outfit, I went for something edgy & comfortable since today will be likely spent walking, walking and walking! :)
Hope you like it!

xx,
TWR

BIKER CHIC

Accessories: Mauve
Bag: Parisian

Opt for a biker look that gravitates towards a softer sexier side? Try veering away from the usual blacks and give way to browns and neutrals. Edgy pieces like moto jackets, boots and leathers can be toned down by choosing the right colors.
Beige instead of gray. Gold instead of silver. Brown instead of black.
Rocker and biker looks need not always have to be grungy, you know. It too can be sexy and dressy! And this ensemble shall serve as the proof.
Don't you agree? :)

THE RIGHT BAGGY

Saturday, November 24, 2012
 Top & Belt: Soul
Pants: Cheap Monday c/o Bauhaus
Accessories: all from Mauve
Bag: Accessorize
Watch: Nixon

Boyfriend jeans I have to say, are one of those items I find difficult to wear. Well maybe mainly because it's baggy and possibility of looking a kilo or two bulkier is likely high. Honestly, I never quite had the guts to wear them until I got my hands on this pair of Cheap Monday's unisex denims.
I've attempted countless actually--to enter various men's shops, spot the best washed-out blue jeans, try it on and strive to make it to the cashier. But like what usually happens, I ended up failing.

But then there was something about this one that convinced me to at least give oversized pants another try. So I did, and this is what I came up with. Paired it with cropped top and mid heels to avoid looking stout and heavy. Something simple yet still stylish.
What do you think? :)

CASUAL DIARIES: SLUGGISH MONDAY

Tuesday, November 20, 2012
Dress: Stylista
Bag: Parfois
Recessionista find:
Thrifted Cardigan for 35 php

I've been sticking to flats, cardi's and lose clothes for the past days and shoot me now for reaching this month's quota for casual outfit posts.
It's just that I'm currently pinned to this sluggish phase where I've no energy nor motivation to dress up and strut in heels in public.
It's one of those times where comfortability seem more appealing than style. lol Don't worry, soon enough I'll regain my strength and be posting dressy looks! :)

Anyway, showing you what I wore to lunch and grocery shopping with Ral yesterday.
A casual vintagey outfit perfect for a day of walking and errands :)

xx,
TWR

INSPIRATIONS

Some of you may already know what I do besides blogging but for those who do not, I am a student studying Interior Design.
For the past days, I haven't been blogging much, sorry for that. I was glued to my drafting board, drawing plates like there's no tomorrow.
If only I could pause time for 3 hours each day, I would definitely have more room for outfit posts, events and of course shopping. Sigh.

My mind's about to explode, honestly. There's so much homework needed to be done and there are days/nights when I feel uninspired.
No matter what I do, I just couldn't come up with a 100-worthy plate. Having to sleep the earliest at 2am  and wake up 4-5 hours after on most days sure does drain your creative juices.
So what I normally do is to walk to my favorite coffee shop (usually at 12 mindight lol), sit outside, stare at the trees, buildings, cars, people and try to look for inspirations in the surroundings while sipping a cup of warm caramel macchiato.  I then open my laptop and surf the internet for some more inspirations and usually in 30mins or so, ideas would be overflowing and that'd be the perfect time I start working on my plates.

Tonight's no different from my normal evening. I'm in a coffee shop with a mug on my side and laptop on my..lap. That sounded weird. lol
I'm searching for inspirations for the drawings I've to submit tomorrow and above are what I found.  Scandinavian interior is my favorite. I just love how fresh and light it is. I always get that relaxed homey feeling just by looking at photos like these.

I know this post may not be as appealing as my outfit posts, but I just thought sharing to you the other thing I love besides fashion would be something different and new.

I hope you are all having a great night! :)

TONED-DOWN BOHO

Sunday, November 18, 2012
 Metallic Pants: Levi's
Top: Apartment 8
Sunnies: Romwe
 Necklace: Mel Collection
Watch: Nixon
Shoes: Zara
Bracelet (turquoise): Mia Casa
Recessionista find:
Belt (180 php at Landmark)

I don't know if I've told you this before, but the very thing I like most about bohemian fashion is how you can mix and match colors, prints and textures without looking foolish. It's the perfect excusee to walk around looking like a chic patchwork rug.
But reality speaking, not all people are risky enough to go over the top with all the mixing and matching. Paisley maxis, tie-dyed tops and distressed denim vest worn together may be too much for the majority. Even I at some instances hesitate too, you know! So most times, I try to balance it by pairing solids w/textures & prints, like what I did with the metallic pants, vest & bag!

Came up with this ensemble with hopes of giving you an idea how to enliven a boring pants-top-flats school/mall outfit.
My version of a 'toned-down' boho look which you may, one of these days, find helpful :)

MIDDIE

Wednesday, November 14, 2012
Blazer: Romwe
Dress: Forever21
Dreamer bracelet: Anagon

Wore something light and comfortable for a day of events: Bauhaus x Kickers F/W Collection preview and Bench x One Fragrance launch.
Been obsessing over mid heel shoes and by far, this pair is my favorite. Walked in it for 8 hours and believe it or not, I survived w/out complaining!
Giving my feet a break by veering away from 5-inch heels for the mean time. I blame Charles & Keith cause since the day I laid eyes on their new collections, all I've been going gaga for are boots and mid heel shoes!

Hope you like it! :)

AS FREE AS A YELLOW BIRD

Monday, November 12, 2012
Free-spirited.
There isn't any better word that describes how I am as a person.
Growing up pretty differently  than how others did is probably the only thing there is to blame.
I was one of the few who was blessed (yes I think of it that way) to have lived my first years in a place where playgrounds meant rivers, ponds and farm, playmates/toys meant dragonflies, leeches, water buffalos, horses and fishes while playtime meant being chased by bees and getting lost in the forest with cousins.
Childhood was slightly beyond normal, but it was remarkable nonetheless.
It molded me to somebody who thirst for adventures. A girl who sees every single day as an opportunity to take risks, earn new experiences and live life as if worries and problems had no room inside.

I'll never be able to put to words how blissful I am at this point in my life. Opportunities just keep on coming unstoppably and I was blessed to be chosen as Girl #3  for Ralph Lauren' Big Pony Fragrance line. Coincidentally, Girl #3's the free-spirited one and it feels surreal to be labeled as such. I can never be more grateful for this project well mainly because I feel very attached to it. It reminds me of my childhood and how I am as a person.
Someone who's unrestraint, loose and spontaneous.

Tell us your adventures. Show us your free-spirited side.
Just upload a photo (may it be a picture of yourself, an object, a postcar or anything related to adventures)  and you might be the lucky girl to win Ralph Lauren Fragrances contest!

OBSESSION LIST

Thursday, November 8, 2012
It's 46 minutes pass midnight and I am in Starbucks munching on my 2nd slice of toffee cake while seated comfortably in the same
leather couch for hours already. I couldn't sleep yet so I decided to walk around the neighborhood with the motive of getting some fresh air and perhaps find inspiration from the surroundings, but then my lazy self dragged me here! As usual, I gave in to my impulses and now am glued to my laptop like as if it has some magnetic force that makes it hard to detach myself from it. What can I say? The internet is indeed addicting.

Speaking of addiction, I have been obsessing over online poker. In fact I am playing now--about to go all-in actually--as I try to share to you what I am up to at the moment. Cards are pretty strong--straight flush to be exact. I just hope I make the right decision. Oh well we'll find out in a minute! I used to play this a lot way back in college but just forgot about it when I started blogging.  And after landing to the site pokerlistings.com last week, I am getting hooked to it again! haha

Besides the online poker mania, I too have a couple of things I am currently obsessing over that I have to share to you.

What's on my list?

First:
Ralph Lauren's #3 perfume from their Big Pony Collection.
You know, it is actually named Free-spirited? Suits my personality, coincidentally!
Anyway they will hold a photo contest on facebook tomorrow so I'll share to you the deets by then!

Second:
Boots, boots, boots!
By far the best ones I found (considering price & comfortability) are from Charles & Keith!
I got 3 pairs in a matter of 1 month and elow is my favorite! How'd you find it?

Third:
I have been doing a lot of photo-surfing in JUX and below are the ones which I liked the most.
Try browsing the gallery yourselves. Trust me, you'll be amazed by how much inspiration you could get just from gazing at the pictures.

Fourth:
Camdem Chrono Watch fron Nixon's Fall Winter Collection.
It's very much dissimilar to the typical Nixon rubber/sporty watches. I fell in love the moment I laid eyes on it.

Fifth:
Victorian/Baroque-printed dresses. (Zara has the best. But it's too pricey! I'll just wait for Christmas to come and hope for someone to surprise me with a bag full of these items! lol)
And there you go! My 'obsession list' :)
Which do you like the most?

By the way, the straight flush added more $$$ to my pot! Made the right choice, apparently. haha

TWR
